Overview
The 2L spray dryer is a device that transforms solutions, emulsions, or suspensions into fine droplets through a spray system, which then undergo heat exchange with a stream of hot air, causing rapid evaporation of moisture to yield a dried product.
Principle
u Atomization Process: The material is transported to the atomizer via a feed pump. The atomizer disperses the material into tiny droplets using mechanical centrifugal force, pressure, or airflow. The size of these droplets typically ranges from tens to hundreds of micrometers.
u Drying Process: The atomized droplets come into full contact with hot air entering from the top or sides of the drying chamber. Due to the large specific surface area of the droplets, moisture evaporates almost instantly, and the solutes or solid particles within the droplets gradually form dry powder or granules. These are then carried by the hot air flow and eventually expelled from the bottom of the drying chamber.
